Death Wish (Ceruleans, #1) by Megan Tayte

A Review

Well, at 44 years old and a mother of two, I am many years ahead of 17 year old Scarlett Blake, the main character of Death Wish (Ceruleans, #1), and many years ahead of the developing romance between her and her lead male character, Luke – but, children and housework aside, I absolutely loved this book! Its intended audience may be Young Adults, but that didn’t stop me becoming completely absorbed in it.

A really good story should lift the reader out of their current existence and transport them to another world where anything can happen! This book did that for me. I was right in there with Scarlett, looking for the answers that lay behind her sister’s death, frustrated by her needy mother and cold father, enjoying the chemistry between she and Luke in the early days of a budding romance, awaiting revelations about the mysterious Jude that would perhaps answer some questions, but until then, create more….

In fact, I enjoyed it so much, that as I approached the end of the book it dawned on me that I wasn’t going to get my answers yet. This was just the first part of a five part book series!

My own answer to that – have ‘Forget Me Not (Ceruleans #2) downloaded onto my Kindle Paperwhite and ready to read!

I give this book 5 stars out of 5 for a thoroughly enjoyable read!
